Meet Nancy Conk - CEDC's new CEO

Nancy Conk joined Cabrillo Economic Development Company as CEO in January 2012, replacing Rodney Fernandez who retired after founding CEDC 30 years earlier.

Ms. Conk has more than 20 years’ experience on the leading edge of non-profit affordable home development in California. Her past work includes 15 years of experience as Executive Director of the Santa Barbara Community Housing Corporation and the Community Housing Opportunities Corporation in Davis, California. She also secured senior-level redevelopment agency experience while serving as the Director of Housing Policy and Development at the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (a joint city and county housing finance agency). Ms. Conk came to CEDC with high-level bank finance experience having previously served as a Client Manager in Community Development Lending for Bank of America in Sacramento. She also is an expert in real estate transactions and holds a diploma in Real Estate Investment Analysis from New York University.

“I am delighted to have joined the CEDC team and I am humbled by the Board of Directors’ confidence in me to lead CEDC to carry on the good work of Rodney Fernandez and the staff,” said Ms. Conk in January 2012 when she started in her current role. “CEDC is a wonderful organization, rooted in advocacy for farmworkers. I am thrilled to be guiding the team and ensuring that affordable homes continue to be built in Ventura County and beyond, and that CEDC continues to be a leading resource for lower-income individuals and families.”
